Medico Jumps Off 14th Floor Balcony in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A dental student committed suicide by jumping from the 14th-floor balcony of the apartment where she was living with her parents in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

According to reports, Sahithi, a 25-year-old dental student pursuing her fourth year of Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at Osmania Medical college, had been living with her parents at Alekhya towers in LB Nagar of Hyderabad. On Tuesday, she reportedly removed protective grills of her 14th floor balcony and jumped down. She died on the spot.
The police shifted the body for a post-mortem examination after conducting an inquest at the incident site.
 
Meanwhile, Sahithi’s parents are clueless about the reason that forced her to this extreme step. Intriguingly, the cause that had pushed Sahithi into committing suicide is yet to be known.

Police are investigating the case and are looking for leads to ascertain the cause.

After making a thorough inquiry in the neighbourhood, they are also likely to speak to the authorities and fellow students of her college to establish the motive behind her suicide.
